Throughout its history, skateboarding has been associated primarily with two genres of music. Hip hop and punk rock. The rationales behind the associations are reasonable enough. Hip hop being a rhythmic style of music lends itself very well to the groove required when skateboarding. Essentially, the beat in hip hop compliments the skaters bouncing around on their skateboards. Punk music, on the other hand, being loud, last, and aggressive lends itself well to the passion and raw emotion skaters possess when they are out competing.

So, the question here is really, “what is skateboarding about? Looking cool jumping around doing fancy little tricks? Or is it about the passion?”

Really, technical ability can only take one so far in any activity one endeavour skateboarding is no different. Tricks mean absolutely nothing if the skater shows no passion for what he or she is doing. Furthermore, taking into consideration the difficulty of mastering skateboarding, more than anything else, it is about passion.

Therefore, punk rock wins.

Intrinsic to punk rock is the mohawk. More than making the person with the hairstyle feel really cool, people that sport mohawks generally exude an air of unadulterated badassery.

Now, assuming all that you have had your hair cut, all you need to do is spike it up.

Expensive gel – The most obvious way.
Pros – May actually be good for the hair.
Cons – Expensive. Expensive. Expensive.

Eggwhites and a dash of beer – A whole lot of eggwhites, a little bit of beer
Pros – Readily available in your mom’s kitchen. All natural.
Cons – Smells like dead rats after a while and gets itchy like nothing else.

Elmer’s glue – A wallop for punk rock goodness.                            
Pros – Cheap. Water soluble.
Cons – Glue begins to look like dandruff after a while. Though water soluble, a bitch to wash off.

He was agin brought into the group in 1998 which was followed by the bands breakup with Chamberlin joining Corgan in the Zwan.
Chamberlin has gone solo with the release of his “Jimmy Chamberlin Complex”, that released the album “Life Begins Again” in 2005. They crossed paths when the band produced a reunion album “Zeitgeist” followed byt he band’s 20th year anniversary tour. Known for his drug problems, he and tour keyboardist Jonathan Melvoin both OD’d on heroin which led to the death of Melvoin, Jimmy was booted from the band and he was sent to rehab. He joined Corgan again in 98′ till the news of their breaking up got out.

It has stayed that way ever since they started. The brothers are all committed Evangelical Christians. In addition to the fact that their father is a former pastor. They were home-schooled by their mother. The most surprising of all is that, they all wear purity rings on their left-hand ring finger. The brothers have vowed not to have premarital sex. Which Russell Brand, the host at the MTV Video Music Awards made fun of. Although he later apologized for his comments. Joe says that the rings symbolize their promise to God that they’ll abstain from pre-marital sex until their marriage. It was one way of setting a difference from the typical rock icon image. They started wearing these rings when their parents asked them if they wanted to. They agreed. They also abstain from alcohol, tobacco, and drugs.

Columbia/Roadrunner/Island Def Jam/Sony Music Soundtrax released “Spider-Man (Music From and Inspired By)” on Tuesday, April 30. “Spider-Man,” the live action motion picture released by Columbia Pictures in conjunction with the 40th anniversary of the classic graphic character’s Marvel Comics debut, made its way into theaters nationwide on Friday, May 3.

“Spider-Man (Music From and Inspired By)” is a collection of music written and performed by a generation of musicians influenced by the power and mystery of the Spider-Man character, his conflicts and his adventures. The album’s lead singles and videos are “What We’re All About (The Original Version)” from Sum 41 featuring a guitar solo from Slayer’s Kerry King; and “Hero,” a new track from Nickelback vocalist/guitarist Chad Kroeger featuring Josey Scott (the vocalist from Saliva), written for the film by Kroeger.

Richie Sambora, one of the greatest guitar men at the side of Bon Jovi is currently facing tree years probation after being caught DUI with his daughter in the vehicle with him. His attorney has entered a guilty plea on his behalf signifying the admittance of the artists to the charges levied against him. He is also accused of child endangerment due to his having his daughter with him in the vehicle but was not charged with the crime due to the fact that he wasn’t over speeding and driving too erratic enough to endanger his child. He is to get three years probation plus legal fees and an alcohol education course.
